This position is for a skilled and detail-oriented General Ledger Accountant. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the organization's general ledger accounting and financial reporting requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of financial information, while adhering to Nestlé reporting policies and systems.
Responsibilities
Maintain and update the general ledger by recording all financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate and complete recording of financial transactions.
Reconcile general ledger accounts on a regular basis, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
Analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential issues.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations.
Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the general ledger accounting function.
Provide support for ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requests.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field or related field, with CPA or equivalent designation preferred
3+ years of experience in Accounting/Finance
Solid understanding of US GAAP; familiarity with IFRS a plus
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proficiency in SAP system preferred
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and statements
Well-organized and methodical thinker with strong decision-making abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Ability to thrive in a fast paced, collaborative team environment and effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders
