VWR INTERNATIONAL, LLC Maintenance Lead Technician in Solon, Ohio

The Opportunity: Under broad supervision, installs, maintains, and repairs manufacturing equipment and fixtures. Conducts complex maintenance activities primarily on machinery and related equipment. Maintains repair and maintenance records. Troubleshoots problems and resolves complex and high priority issues. Mentors less-experienced peers and assist supervisors, but does not formally supervise others. Responsible for generation of production protocols, process and quality improvement, production flow and standard work development, process definition, and documentation. This includes ensuring the assembly will meet the performance criteria required by the customer. Responsible for assisting and owning the projects to improve safety, quality, production, and processes. Promote the utilization of the Avantor Business System strategy and its involvement with Lean Manufacturing. Supports Process and Validation engineers with processes pertaining to site improvement initiates and results of Kaizen and root cause analysis events. Creates necessary documentation and aides in communication to personnel. This position will work closely with account managers, customer service, production and quality. This position will act as the main site liaison for MET resources. Primary Responsibilities Responsible for daily production support to generate production protocols, creation of standard work documents, and process fixtures Provides expertise and support for risk assessments such as PFMEA, FMEA, 5WHYs, etc. Writes SOPs and training documents to establish standard work and develops initial documents for new processes and systems. Troubleshoot equipment and hardware issues, as required. Assist in resolving customer complaints in a timely manner; notify management of problems and suggest corrective actions. Leads & assists with process development and improvement activities. Supports and implements preventative maintenance and calibration programs Assist in resolving customer complaints in a timely manner; notify management of problems and suggest corrective actions. Understand and support company operating procedures to provide proper and effective service to all customers and foster the development of long term business relationships. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Experience (2-3 years) Experience in direct equivalent roles (MET) Knowledge of ABS systems and it's tools and systems Experience in regulated environments (FDA or ISO 9001 preferred) Experience in GMP Manufacturing environments. Project management MS Office Suite Preferred Experience (3+ Years) Biopharma manufacturing processes, Cleanroom experience Advanced software application skills (IE. Access / Visio / Minitab) Lean Manufacturing practices and the Toyota Production System (TPS).(TPMS).
