Follow @Kennametal: Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube. 2nd shift: 2:45pm - 10:45pm Tasks Under the direction of the Supervisor, Quality: This position will cover job functions for the quality department on the manufacturing floor performing dimensional & visual certification inspections and process audits. Perform dimensional and visual inspection for customer certification orders or quality critical inspection requirements. Complete designed roving product & process audits as defined by the quality department. In this task, the ability to communicate and coach closure of process and inspection non-conformances is required. Provides technical support to the quality and quality engineering (QE) functions. Conducts inspections on products, materials, components, parts, etc. at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality standards. Record results of inspections as required. Completes customer certification inspections as required using defined inspection equipment. May include sorting and rework when deemed necessary by the Quality department to support on-time product shipment to customers. SAP or MII transaction assistance to support quality operations may be required. Examples include transactions associated with the MRB process or rework activities. Daily work is determined by structure and needs of the Quality group.
