The Humber Refinery is playing a key role in the UK’s decarbonisation efforts.

As part of supporting the UK Government’s net zero ambition, we have a number of exciting projects planned including a proposed first-of-a-kind FCC carbon capture plant. On top of this, the Humber Refinery is the UK’s only at scale producer of Sustainable Aviation Fuel, and is also Europe's only producer of battery anode coke, which forms a critical component for lithium-ion batteries used in electrical vehicles and in consumer electronics. Our current production of battery anode coke is equivalent to placing 1.3 million EVs on the road every year, and we are developing multiple projects to expand this capability.

We are on an exciting journey, are you ready to join us?
