We are seeking a dedicated pharmacy technician to join our high-volume fulfillment team. The role involves accurately filling prescription items, labeling products, participating in periodic inventory, and packaging medications for dispensing and delivery. You will also communicate professionally with internal and external customers, assist in training new employees, and perform various other tasks as needed.
Responsibilities
Fill prescription items as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy.
Package medications for dispensing and delivery, ensuring accuracy and productivity standards.
Label products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels.
Participate in periodic inventory of the pharmacy.
Check in drugs and supplies, stock shelves, and remove out-of-date items from inventory.
Prepare medications including emulsions, liquids, powders, and ointments, including non-sterile compounding.
Communicate with internal and external customers in a pleasant and professional manner.
Process returned medications from the facility for credit or destruction.
Assist in the training of new employees.
Work with automated machines to prepack drugs.
Manage inventory functions such as monitoring pharmaceutical levels and identifying expired medications.
Input patient data and medication orders into a computer system to produce labels (data entry).
Mix/package IV medications, sanitize IV room, equipment, and hood.
Service facility-based medication dispensing machines (e.g., RxNow).
Perform other tasks as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Utah Pharmacy Technician License
6+ months of retail and/or fulfillment pharmacy experience preferred

Work Environment
This role is based in a closed-door, fulfillment pharmacy environment focused on the pharmaceutical needs of long-term care and senior living clients. The facility operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with a night differential for shifts starting after 12:30 PM. Weekend hours are Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Employees will work 8-hour shifts with rotating weekends and occasional 9:30 AM start times. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
