Job Description
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician (IV) with hands on mechanical and HVAC programming experience, as well as facilities engineering, to work independently and offer senior-level assistance in the maintenance department.
Responsibilities
Maintain equipment performance in a safe, optimal state through the application of the preventative maintenance program to meet quality standards with minimal downtime. This work includes troubleshooting, ordering, and installation of parts on equipment. Modify and manage PMs accordingly.
Demonstrate technical understanding of the repair and maintenance of industrial, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems in the building. (i.e. Boilers, RODI System, & Generators).
Understand Building Management Systems (BMS) interfaces and devices, as well as familiarity with Automated Logic, Siemens controls, and similar controls systems.
Return equipment to service after a breakdown with minimal impact to production including management of spare parts. Works with engineering and vendors to develop/modify and implement appropriate PM job plans.
Make recommendations for equipment improvements or new technologies which may improve reliability or efficiency.
Review construction plans and/or equipment designs to determine the appropriateness of design and conformance to AbbVie Engineering Standards.
Responsible for meeting time commitments and following priorities based on maintenance and production schedules with limited supervision.
Perform documentation practice in CMMS systems Maximo, SAP, Footprint to ensure work orders are documented. Communicate work orders, projects, tasks, etc. ahead of time and seek approval before initiating.
Provide off-hours support during emergencies/disasters and projects requiring non-business hours supervision/coordination. Provide 24-7/365 support.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED is required and 10+ years of work experience or College degree, college certificate, or formal apprenticeship and 5+ years of work experience related to skilled trades or other relevant technical degree. Experience working in an industrial manufacturing facility is desired.
HVAC Programming/ Hands On Mechanical experience is a plus.
CMRT (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician) or equivalent accreditation is preferred.
Proficiency in using the AbbVie CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) and Maximo, and intermediate skills with MS Office Suite (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint).
Knowledge and ability to use advanced tools, such as machine tools, diagnostic tools, predictive tools.
Electrical skills and knowledge may be required in some AbbVie Maintenance organizations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capability to effectively conduct root cause analysis and make sound decisions.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
