Description
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Network Administrator in Southfield, Michigan. This role involves managing and maintaining our network and server infrastructure, programming for new customers, and creating configuration files. You will be proficient in Linux and Python scripting, with the ability to learn new languages. Responsibilities:
• Lead the maintenance and management of network and server infrastructure
• Program configurations for new customers
• Create and manage configuration files for new customers
• Work collaboratively with team members, maintaining clear and professional communication
• Communicate professionally with clients, addressing their needs and inquiries
• Work remotely as required, ensuring the smooth operation of networks and servers after hours
• Develop and maintain a broad understanding of MySQL database
• Utilize skills in Cisco Technologies, Linux, Python Scripting, MySQL Database, Network Infrastructure, Server Infrastructure, and Microsoft Technologies.
Requirements
• Prior experience of at least 3 years as a Network Administrator or in a related role
• Proficiency in Cisco Technologies-routers, switches or willing to learn
• Strong knowledge and experience with Linux operating systems
• Experience with Python coding/scripting
• Familiarity with MySQL Database management
• Understanding of Network Infrastructure, including design, implementation, and troubleshooting
• Experience with Server Infrastructure, including setup, configuration, and maintenance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Desktop Technologies
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Telephony experience is a bonus, Relevant certifications in networking or related field would be advantageous
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent work experience.
