GFL Industries Regional Sales Director in Southfield, Michigan

As the Regional Sales Director, you will be crucial in driving our sales excellence and aligning our branch sales and marketing teams with corporate objectives. Your leadership will help us achieve consistent growth and enhance our market presence. Your Impact: * Training and Support: Deliver field and classroom-based training to branch sales teams and customer service representatives, covering sales practices, product presentations, and use of sales tools. * Sales Assessments: Conduct periodic field sales skills assessments for all sales representatives to ensure high performance. * Presentations: Make professional presentations to larger customers, government staff, and political bodies. * Recruitment and Development: Assist General/Facility Managers in recruiting, verifying, and developing qualified sales candidates. * Sales Strategy: Collaborate with General/Facility Managers to develop individual sales goals and implement branch sales/retention strategies that align with the company's long-range goals. * Pricing Tools and Policies: Work with Accounting and IT to develop and update pricing tools, policies, and procedures. * Audit and Compliance: Audit corporate sales programs for accuracy and compliance, including commission plans and profitability analysis. * Sales Presentations: Demonstrate proficiency in preparing and organizing sales presentations. * Pricing Strategies: Provide recommendations for pricing strategies by analyzing and comparing market competitors' pricing patterns. * Sales Projections: Participate in the development of accurate monthly and annual sales projections and reporting to track performance against goals. * Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies. You Have: * Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, or equivalent experience. * 5-7 years in the transportation, industrial, environmental or waste management industry, and 10 or more years in sales management and training. * Strong computer skills, including advanced Excel, and the ability to create, design, and implement solutions to various problems. * Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers. * Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
