Our client, a global leader in industrial automation solutions and systems, is seeking a talented System Layout Designer to join their team. As a System Layout Designer in the BIW Body Shop, you will play a crucial role in optimizing manufacturing processes and driving efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for innovation.
Job Title: Senior System Layout Designer
Location: Southfield, MI (hybrid work model)
Pay Range: $30-32 per hour
What’s the Job?
Develop layout designs for the BIW Body Shop using AutoCAD/Factory CAD software.
Optimize plant layout to improve production efficiency and workflow.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and processes.
Conduct feasibility studies and provide recommendations for layout improvements.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
What’s Needed?
Experience as a System Layout Mechanical Designer with a background in the Body Shop.
Proficiency in AutoCAD/Factory CAD software for layout design.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and assembly line optimization.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to identify and address layout challenges.
