MOFT Inc. Manufacturing Engineer in Spokane, Washington
Use AutoCAD, Protel, MATLAB, Java, and Six Sigma to design next generation consumer electronics products; facilitate the full product development process from conceptual design through manufacturing; create and modify CAD models of consumer electronics, and translating 2D Illustrator sketches into 3D models using the principle of mechanical engineering; determine project specifications by identifying emerging technologies and studying customer and manufacturing requirements; assist with hiring and training an industrial design team for consumer electronics; confer with the project team of engineers to support the design, debug, validation and optimization of the products; perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel's performance); cooperate and communicate effectively with sales and marketing to provide technical assistance and support. May telecommute within the continental USA.
Requirement: Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in mechanical engineering or a related field plus 2 years of post-baccalaureate experience reflecting demonstrable ability in the skill set described above. Alternatively, Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in mechanical engineering or a related field plus 5 years of post-baccalaureate experience reflecting demonstrable ability in the skill set described above. Experience must include: AutoCAD, Protel, MATLAB, Java, and Six Sigma.
