Overview:
A Multi-Craft Electrical & Instrumentation Technician is a highly skilled professional responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of electrical and instrumentation systems in an industrial setting. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of industrial facilities by maintaining the functionality and safety of electrical and instrumentation systems.
Responsibilities:
Electrical Work: Handling tasks related to 3-phase motors up to 2300 volts, control components, and interfacing with PLC/DCS control systems.
Instrumentation: Working with pneumatic control devices, transmitters, and control valves.
Maintenance: Performing preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on all electrical and instrumentation equipment.
Safety: Adhering to strict safety standards and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Documentation: Providing detailed documentation and feedback on job completion.
Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Typically requires an associate degree or equivalent from a technical school, along with relevant experience.
Technical Proficiency: Expertise in electrical systems, control systems, and instrumentation.
Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and fix issues with complex systems.
Adaptability: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, often in varying conditions and environments.
