Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
A mid-size fiberglass manufacturing company has an immediate need for a night shift maintenance technician to join their team. The role involves performing routine preventive maintenance on plant machinery and equipment, including conveyors, bearings, sprockets, chains, belts, seals, gearboxes, cylinders, valves, and more. The technician will also handle electrical maintenance tasks on PLCs, I/Os, limit switches, VFDs, sensors, 3-phase motors, relays, and additional proprietary equipment built in-house. This position requires working the night shift from Monday to Friday, 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM, with flexibility for overtime and weekend work.
Responsibilities
Perform routine preventive maintenance on plant machinery and equipment.
Maintain and repair conveyors, bearings, sprockets, chains, belts, seals, gearboxes, cylinders, and valves.
Conduct electrical maintenance on PLCs, I/Os, limit switches, VFDs, sensors, 3-phase motors, relays, and other electrical components.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues on control panels and related systems.
Ensure proper functioning of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Adapt to new challenges daily as most equipment is proprietary and built in-house.
Essential Skills
3-5+ years of maintenance technician experience.
Proficiency in hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance.
Experience in electrical maintenance, including troubleshooting and repairing/replacing sensors, VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, tracing wires, 3-phase motors, and control panels.
Mechanical maintenance experience with conveyors, bearings, sprockets, chains, belts, seals, gearboxes, cylinders, and valves.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in CNC machine maintenance.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair automation systems.
Strong preventive maintenance skills.
Hands-on experience with HMI and automation systems.

Work Environment
The work environment is a non-climate controlled manufacturing facility currently undergoing renovations, with plans for expansion in 2025. The night shift schedule is Monday to Friday, 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM, with additional hours on Saturdays as needed. Will train on days for the first 4-6 months
