HP is hiring a Managing Editor for a global, end-user app. We're looking for an individual with the proven ability to lead a team developing and implementing editorial strategies and campaigns to drive revenue through app engagement. As the Managing Editor , you will use data insights and analytics, including monitoring industry trends and the competitive landscape to develop and implement editorial processes/decisions and content initiatives. You and your team will collaborate with a variety of internal HP organizations to design and create outcome-focused campaigns and curate/create content and messages to fuel your campaigns. Your campaigns will drive weekly active users and revenue generation by targeting the right customer, creating a great customer experience. You will be responsible for organizing and maintaining comprehensive editorial calendars that align with company and business priorities & calendars, and ensuring deadlines and goals are met.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Shape the Vision: Develop and implement global content strategy to drive engagement and monetization while ensuring all content adheres to HP strategies, standards, and guidelines.

  • Collaboration is Key: Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to plan for business, product, and marketing opportunities.

  • Lead the Way: Manage and lead a focused team of campaign managers; oversee the creation of engaging and high-quality content and messages that drive Weekly/Monthly Active Users (W/MAU), click-through, and revenue generation.

  • Drive Global Success: Develop and implement scalable, global processes to support the app's growth and revenue.

  • Understand the Industry: Monitor industry trends, analytics, and competitive landscape to inform content decisions.

  • Lead with Data: Use data insights and analytics to inform the way we curate, target, A/B test, and implement content.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

  • Typically has 10+ years of job-related experience or 8-10 years of management experience, preferably in Interactive marketing, online customer service, or a related field.

  • Experience managing an editorial calendar

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Impeccable judgment keen understanding of current and emerging industry trends.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated business acumen, understanding of organizational strategy, and ability to navigate matrixed teams/resources.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities; demonstrated growth mindset.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $137,000 - 211,000 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
