POSITION TITLE: Customer Service Specialist

REPORTS TO: Customer Service Manager -- Parts

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Prepare quotations utilizing quoting systems and documentation while following company pricing policies, product application, terms; etc.

  2. Enter orders/claims and complete order/claim support functions to ensure customer needs are met. Utilize systems and documentation as needed.

  3. Confer with sales and/or customers to obtain and evaluate customer requirements/ available data and other preliminary matters pertinent to the inquiry, product or sale.

  4. Respond to inquiries pertaining to published data, specifications, products, pricing, availability, applications and other technical data. Provide feedback regarding published documents and other technical materials to appropriate departments.

  5. Communicate with distributors.

  6. Monitor field reaction to published data, suggest and participate in additions and improvements as appropriate to better our position and improve sales.

  7. Prepare reports and maintain records, files, engineering documentation and reference library.

  8. Actively participate in product/software/industry training as provided by the company and through independent research (i.e. industry publications, product specifications). Continually develop technical knowledge of product offering.

  9. Assist in department improvements to facilitate improved productivity to meet or exceed customer requirements.

  10. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
