Aerotek Machine Operator in St. Charles, Illinois
Job Title: Machine Operator 1st shift // $20+
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with extrusion machines, blending and mixing equipment, and will be responsible for setting up and operating machinery, preparing pigments and bases, recording operational data, and monitoring production runs to ensure quality standards. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to lift 50 lbs consistently.
Responsibilities
Set up of machinery including extrusion machines, blenders, and mixers for base parameters assigned by management
Prepare pigments and bases for upcoming runs
Record operational data on computer-controlled machinery and/or specified forms
Clean and disassemble mixing and bonding equipment
Prepare tooling for changeovers and perform machine changeovers
Continually monitor production runs to detect defects or deviations from standards and make minor adjustments as necessary
Transport finished runs or full skills to the shipping warehouse
Work to continuously improve all areas of productivity and reduce scrap
Lift 50 lbs consistently, potentially up to 20 boxes per hour if the machine is running non-stop
Essential Skills
Two years of machine operating experience
Mechanically inclined with previous experience setting up machines or basic troubleshooting
Experience performing quality control throughout the operating process
Understanding of basic math
Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Powder coating experience preferred
Experience with blenders, mixers, and extruders is a plus

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.75/hr.
