Located in St Ives Cambridge, the Embedded Software Engineer will:
Specify, design and develop user interface and embedded software for Linx range of coding and marking products.
Research and prototype new technologies and methods to improve customer workflows.
Investigate, understand and resolve customer issues
In this role, a typical day will look like:
Troubleshooting and resolving complex problems with elegant, simple solutions.
Design, document and implement new functionality.
Active participation in the Agile software development process.
Deliver projects/tasks to agreed Sprints timescales.
Continuous process improvement using latest software methodologies.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Experience in the following languages: C, C++, Python, BASH.
Linux kernel device drivers.
Multi-threaded application development.
TCP/IP and UDP socket programming.
