Large furniture distributor located in the Smithtown area is hiring for an warehouse associate for their backroom operations. Candidates with retail stock and inventory experience are encourgaed to ! Responsibilities
Receive incoming shipments of merchandise and verify the accuracy of the contents.
Unload trucks and containers using equipment such as pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
Sort, label, and store incoming merchandise in designated locations within the warehouse.
Perform inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
Pick and pack orders according to customer specifications using hand-held scanners or pick lists.
Prepare orders for shipment by ensuring that they are properly packed, labeled, and staged for pickup.
Load outgoing shipments onto trucks or containers for delivery to customers.
Assist with cycle counts, physical inventories, and other inventory management
