  • Location: Tampa, FL

  • Status: Full Time, hourly

  • Shift Hours: Varies - days and evenings

  • Weekend Work: Every Other

We are currently seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician I for our Pharmacy at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, FL. This position would be working a varied shift of days and evenings including every other weekend.

Pharmacy Technician I, under the immediate oversight of the Pharmacist, responsibilities include:

  • Support the mission of the hospital and pharmacy department

  • Efficient, accurate and timely preparation, compounding, labeling, and delivering of pharmaceuticals to assure customer satisfaction

  • Required Registration: Florida Department of Health Pharmacy Technician Registry or enrolled into a BayCare hospital with a Florida Board of Pharmacy Licensed Training Program for the Employer Based Registered Pharmacy Technician Training Program

  • Preferred experience is 1-year Institutional practice or equivalent as determined by the hiring manager.

  • Preferred Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) Certification through Pharmacy Technician Certification Board.

  • Required specific skills may also include successfully passing Pharmaceutical Calculations exam.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1-year prior Pharmacy Technician experience preferred

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent GED

  • Required FL Registered Pharmacy Technician License

  • Preferred Pharmacy Technician Certification
