Park Nicollet Health Services Laboratory Support Services Technician Specialist in St. Louis Park, Minnesota

Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Lab Support Services Technical Specialist to join our team! Position Summary: Ensures and maintains reliability, integrity, and functionality of all support service areas (specimen processing, phlebotomy, client services and lab outreach) at Methodist Hospital lab. Evaluates and implements laboratory support service processes and ensures compliance with the standards of accrediting and regulatory agencies. Designs, monitors, and directs laboratory staff in quality assurance systems including training and competency standards. Collaborates with leaders and supports laboratory processes completed by non-laboratory staff. Required Qualifications: Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination: Associate's degree Minimum of three years full time work in related experience in a hospital or clinic laboratory Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must have extensive technical and problem-solving expertise in the specialty, as well as knowledge of general method evaluation, and research and development methodology Must have comprehensive knowledge of accrediting and regulatory agencies' standards Strong verbal and written communication skills are also essential Preferred Qualifications: Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) associates degree or Bachelor's degree in related science field.
