About the role
The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for an area of production, ensuring smooth running industrial machines and troubleshooting problems. The role is about more than just efficiency; Our commitment to innovation runs through the whole business. We will look to you to spot and take every opportunity to improve quality, safety, and performance. This position will train on a Monday – Friday day shift, and then transition to an overnight position. Voluntary overtime opportunities (including weekend work) are common.
Your responsibilities
Lead and/or assist in the layout, installation, maintenance and repair of high-speed packaging, processing, and mixing equipment and associated piping and utility systems
Familiarity with electrical systems and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical malfunctions
Read and understand complicated mechanical and electrical drawings and blueprints
Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Servo motors and Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) troubleshooting and minor programming preferred
Maintain required paperwork for regulations and equipment maintenance history
Operate small and powered hand tools, wood and metal working equipment, gas and electric welding equipment, multi-meters, computers.
Maintain good safety practices and cleanliness and housekeeping of work area
Other duties as assigned.
The experience we're looking for
5+ years’ work experience in a manufacturing environment; Experience with high-speed packaging equipment preferred
Associates and/or bachelor’s degree in the mechanical and/or electrical field, preferred
Electrical certification and NFPA 70E training preferred
Knowledgeable of preventative maintenance (PM) techniques and the ability to implement improvements
Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) programming and troubleshooting experience
Mechanical, electrical, or reliability maintenance background desired; Welding and machining a plus
Application and facilitation of continuous improvement tools (e.g., TPM, 5S, FMEA).
