RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist the Head Coach of the Men’s Tennis program of a Division I athletics program. Responsibilities include assisting with administration of recruiting, training, practice, fundraising, budget management, team travel. This is a one-year fixed term position.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Planning and organizing team training and practice sessions.

  • Assisting with recruiting student-athletes to compete at Stanford, ensuring compliance with NCAA guidelines and University standards.

  • Understanding and apply NCAA regulations to all aspects of program.

  • Must pass exam on an annual basis on NCAA regulations.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or his designee.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Extensive experience at the elite levels of junior, collegiate and/or professional tennis. Strong interpersonal skills dealing with student-athletes, peers and the general public; computer literacy with common office applications such as Word and Excel required; Ability to understand and comply with all rules and regulations of the Stanford University, ACC Conference and NCAA; ability to work compatibly and cooperatively with a variety of staff and personnel in the Department of Athletics, the University and the community.

DAPER’s Integrity:

This position, along with all DAPER coaches and staff, is responsible for the integrity of Stanford’s intercollegiate athletics program and for the reputation of Stanford University. This position is responsible for assuring that his/her involvement with Athletics Department activities maintains the integrity of the University’s reputation and does not negatively impact the relationship between the University and its faculty, staff, students and alumni. Additionally, this position must comply with University policies and procedures, NCAA and ACC rules and regulations.

The expected pay for this position is $70,000 per annum.
