Role Summary-

Process Engineering Support Technician A

SUMMARY:

Under limited supervision, supports engineers in the design, development, analysis, and troubleshooting of manufacturing processes, tooling and fixtures. Work together regularly with colleagues internally and internationally on product, process and troubleshooting teams. Provides analytical services to the engineering teams in the form of fault analysis through dissection, cross-sectioning and polishing of defective product. Support preventive maintenance and repair activities for assigned manufacturing equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Actively provide technical contributions to the manufacturing processes

  • Adapt and apply standard approaches and solutions for various product manufacturing processes

  • Provide cause/correlation analysis in order to further the understanding of the relationship between key input variables and acoustic output variables.

  • Interface with the production department as required to facilitate the completion of assigned duties

  • Interface with the quality organization to ensure all quality and regulatory requirements are met including thorough documentation.

  • Interface with purchasing and supply teams on a technical level to identify replacement components and vendors

  • Perform cross sectioning and measurement of architectural features and report results to Process Engineers.

  • Prepare technical and project progress reports suitable for upper management

  • Support Process Engineers in the evaluation and improvement of manufacturing methods to reduce manufacturing leadtime and increase yield.

  • Maintain and repair assigned electro-mechanical manufacturing equipment and associated maintenance records.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school graduate or equivalent (Associate Degree in a Technical discipline preferred)

  • A minimum of 5 years experience supporting Manufacturing and/or Development Engineering teams.

  • Extended continuous proficiency in current disciplines, life-long learner

  • Experience in a FDA, ISO13485, or other highly regulated environment desired

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficient in data analysis, particularly statistical techniques and visualization

  • Working knowledge of ERP systems such as Visual, SAP, etc., desired

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team of peers, as well as excellent interpersonal and communications skills.

  • Bring energy and enthusiasm to each day’s effort
