The Honors College (http://www.tarleton.edu/honors/) invites highly qualified and enthusiastic candidates to apply for the Administrative Coordinator II position.

The Administrative Coordinator II works under the general supervision of the Dean of Honors College and coordinates administrative support and specialized activity to include the exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.

This is a full-time, in-office position located in Stephenville, Texas with regular work hours of Monday to Friday; from 8 am to 5 pm or as work requirements indicate. This position requires a flexible work schedule, which will sometimes entail some evening and weekend work pending scheduled activities. Must be able to work remotely at the request of the University.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides general support to the dean in coordinating and assisting with college operations, including scheduling meetings and appointments for the dean, maintaining departmental databases, and providing assistance as requested and necessary.

  • Maintains college budget sheets.

  • Provides excellent customer service while maintaining front office coverage: answer and direct incoming phone calls, and respond to email inquiries.

  • Provides general support to Honors College faculty, students, and other clients.

  • Acts as Honors liaison to other units: prepare and disseminate correspondence to different campuses and off-campus entities

  • Hires, trains, and supervises graduate assistants and student workers.

  • Assists with program information and program brochures.

  • Coordinates all Honors events; manages events budgets and prepares attendance reports.

  • Serves as the Marketing Communications liaison:

  • Oversees production of publications and graphic displays;

  • Maintains social media presence; Maintain Honors College website;

  • Supports department communications needs, including photography, promotional material, etc.

  • Tracks donor and alumni relations

  • Performs other duties as assigned

    Education and Experience:-Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.-Three years of related experience.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:-Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications.-Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Interpersonal and communication skills. Planning and organization skills.
