Emerson Project Engineer in Sterling Heights, Michigan

You will provide project management and technical expertise to support projects from quotation through shipment. Support sales personnel, customers, engineers, and technicians to win orders and ensure timely delivery of products and services. In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Analyze and evaluate customer applications for assembly and recommend equipment, tooling, and part design modifications with a focus on higher complexity projects and technologies.
Develop costing estimates and populate system quotations.
Provide technology and solution expertise to help define project paths.
Lead material weldability evaluations with Design & Application Engineers
Provide internal & external application troubleshooting support.
Conduct customer visits independently to provide technical information or solve customer problems.
Provide written technical communications (i.e. application feasibility evaluation, application briefs, technical bulletins) for customers, industry groups and suppliers.
Provide training for customer and new employees through in-house seminars, field seminars, and lab training programs.
Provide Technical Support to Sales Engineers
Help lead process improvement initiatives.
Additional projects as assigned by manager.
Who You Are:
You are an engineering or project management professional eager to advance your career. You tackle a pivotal position, demonstrating your project management skills and technical competence from project inception to completion. Your ability to collaborate seamlessly with sales personnel, customers, engineers, and technicians will be essential in ensuring the successful execution of projects, driving timely delivery of products and services. Your knack for communicating optimally will enable you to articulate sophisticated technical concepts clearly to various collaborators. Your dedication to encouraging innovation will be instrumental in identifying opportunities for process improvements and driving creative solutions to meet evolving customer needs.
For This Role, You Will Need:
1 year of experience as Branson Application Engineer I or Project Engineer I.
Functional expertise in 2 or more Branson product lines.
Solutions provided independently for at least 100 applications.
OR
Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 2 years of experience in a technical, customer facing role.
Experience in customer project management and industrial manufacturing sales processes, including technical consultation and cross-function collaboration
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
This role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills
AND
- Physically capable of transporting materials and tools weighing up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
Manufacturing experience
Knowledge of plastics
Ability to travel up to 25%
