Robert Half VP/Director of Finance in Stockbridge, Georgia
Description
We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a VP/Director of Finance living in proximity of Stockbridge, GA. The successful candidate will be responsible for the collection of all taxes, licenses, fees, and other moneys belonging to the city.
Top Responsibilities:
• Collection of all taxes, licenses, fees, and other moneys belonging to the city
• Enforcement of all laws of Georgia relating to the collection of delinquent taxes and sale or foreclosure for nonpayment of taxes to the city
• Oversee the management and supervision of the Finance and Utility Billing staff, including various clerical roles and supervisors
• Ensure general duties of a Treasurer and chief fiscal officer are carried out efficiently
• Utilize various accounting software systems such as 'ENCODE', 'ADP - Financial Services', 'CapEx', and 'KRONOS' to perform accounting functions and cash flow analysis
• Implement and manage budget processes and capital management strategies
• Conduct auditing processes to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration or a closely related field supplemented by ten (10) years of progressively responsible work experience in a related field; Certified Public Accountant preferred or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job; must possess, or obtain within 18 months of permanent, state Local Finance Officer Certification (Level I); ability to accurately type a minimum of 45 words per minute; valid State of Georgia Driver’s License.
Additional Qualifications:
• Proven experience in a VP/Director of Finance role or similar executive-level position
• Demonstrated proficiency in ENCODE.
• Extensive knowledge of Accounting Software Systems.
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services, KRONOS
• Experience with CapEx.
• Proficiency in using CRM tools.
• Solid understanding of Accounting Functions.
• Experience in Auditing.
• Familiarity with Budget Processes.
• Proficient in Capital Management.
• Experience in Cash Flow Analysis.
