Johnson State Park Historic Site, 199 State Park Road 52, Stonewall, TX 78671 GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, this position performs advanced (senior-level) construction, restoration, renovation, and maintenance work and is responsible for the proper operation, maintenance, and repair of the water treatment plant for Lyndon B. Johnson State Park and Historic Site. Responsible for regulatory compliance in all utility operations to include completion of required forms and reports as required by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD). Performs water laboratory testing procedures and general maintenance and cleaning of water facilities. Assists with park swimming pool and water quality of that facility. Assists with park livestock and wildlife areas of the park. Performs all phases of maintenance and repairs to other park facilities, equipment, grounds, and electrical and plumbing systems utilizing equipment such as hand tools, power tools, mowers, tractors, and other machinery. Responsible for purchasing supplies and materials, preparing reports, training and supervising park personnel, revenue collection and accounting, providing quality visitor services using automated registration system. Assists in enforcing park rules and regulations, performs resource management tasks and interprets the parks natural and cultural resources. Required to respond to emergency situations as needed. Supports and complies with the agency's mission in all activities and supports park programs, outreach, and special events. Other duties include but are not limited to, volunteer program; recordkeeping; maintaining standard operating procedures for park equipment and vehicles; following safety program, park plans, and park fiscal control plan. Works under minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division and Branch rules, regulations and procedures. Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Graduation from High School or GED. Experience: Four years of facility, equipment, or grounds maintenance experience. Licensure: Must possess or be able to obtain, within 30 days of employment, a valid state driver's license; Must possess or be able to obtain, within one year of employment, a class D Water and Wastewater license issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ);
