Aston Carter Buyer in Stoney Creek, Ontario
Our client is looking for an experienced buyer to join their team on a contract to hire basis! This has the opportunity to turn into a long term employment!
Overview: A Buyer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials or products needed for the production of goods. Their key tasks include ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement, maintaining relationships with suppliers, analyzing market trends, negotiating prices, and managing inventory levels. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent communication, and negotiation abilities are vital for success in this role.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Purchasing materials and supplies required for production.
Ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of goods.
Maintaining relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Analyzing market trends to determine competitive prices.
Negotiating with suppliers for better prices and terms.
Developing and implementing procurement strategies.
Managing inventory levels and ensuring adequate stock.
Coordinating with other departments for timely delivery.
Updating and maintaining purchasing records and data.
Ensuring compliance with procurement policies and regulations.
