Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher). In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an Associate's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) plus four (4) years of directly related full-time experience may be considered. Three (3) years of full-time experience in an adult learning and/or instructional design role, to include experience assessing training needs, designing, developing, delivering, and evaluating training programs.Preferred Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Experience utilizing a Learning Management System. Experience developing on-line training. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace. Experience with programs such as Adobe Captivate, Brightspace, Camtasia, Canva, Qualtrics or other related programs.
Brief Description of Duties:
Under the guidance and support of the Training Manager, the Training & Organizational Development Coordinator is responsible for creating and delivering high-quality training programs that recognize, develop, and enhance employee performance. The coordinator will conduct assessments of training needs, measure the effectiveness of training programs and ensure that training activities align with the University's goals and objectives. While the Training & Organizational Development Coordinator will partner with various stakeholders to strategize on divisional needs, they are also expected to lead and provide direction and advice. Specifically, the incumbent will work closely with and offer guidance to the Office of Equity and Access, the Office of Labor Relations, and the Office of Diversity. Incumbent will work with these offices to review grievance activity, employee relations matters, and various gap analyses to establish and support training initiatives. In this role, the incumbent will need to possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Other essential qualities also include organizational, analytical, problem solving, and time management skills along with attention to detail.

  • Training:
    • Develop, implement, and conduct training programs for the West Campus and Health Sciences Center that support the University's mission, values and goals for all training projects in technical, operational, and behavioral content areas, including the administration of new employee orientation programs, compliance requirements and informational workshops and courses.
    • Assist in the design of online courses and other programs.
  • Research and Assessment:
    • Identify, establish, and maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the Office of Equity and Access, the Office of Employee Assistance Programs, the Ombudsman Office, and the Office of Employee and Labor Relations.
    • Research and recommend educational and training opportunities for employees, including various central office resources, Subject-Matter Expert training (e.g., Environmental Health & Safety), and independent training vendors.
    • Audit courses and provide recommendations to employees and all layers of management.
    • Assist with the creation, implementation, and evaluation of surveys.
  • Administrative duties:
    • Maintain accurate records of training activities, including attendance and performance evaluations.
    • Prepare training records or documents for supervisors and managers as needed.
    • Scheduling of training and reserving training spaces as needed.
  • Other duties or projects assigned as appropriate to the departmental mission.

This is a Management Confidential position. This is a full-time appointment. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.
