Aerotek is hiring for a Mobile Chassis Mechanic who can drive a company vehicle and assist 18 wheelers/trucks on the road with tire replacements and chassis repairs. Looking for someone with experience or willing to train the right candidate who has a great attitude and knowledge in the mechanic field.

Pay scale is $18-$25/hr based on experience and interview!! After hours may be required but pay $40/hr for after hours work!!!!!

Job Description:

-Diagnose and repair most lights, brakes, and landing gears on trailers and chassis.

· Perform DOT inspections as needed.

· Maintain accurate parts inventory, requesting new parts/supplies as needed.

· Must be capable of using all diagnostic equipment and resources.

· Maintain a clean and safe work area.

· Maintain a high level of productivity.

· Perform vehicle preventative maintenance as outlined.

· Check and change tires as needed.

· Operate shop tools, cutting torch, and gas welding equipment.

· Welding of components necessary for repair of equipment and/or fabrication of components/parts necessary for repair of equipment.

· Maintains records and appropriate documentation.

· Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or other members of the management team.

Requirements to be considered:

· Must be able to walk and stand for long periods.

· Must be able to grip and pull objects continuously.

· Diligent, punctual, and great attention to detail.

· May be required to operate forklift and yard truck.

· Must have strong logical thinking, analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and organization skills.

· Have welding experience or be willing to learn.

· Must be able to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment as part of a team.

· Must be a self-starter and willing to take the initiative, able and willing to work without direct supervision.

· Must maintain a clean, efficient work area and assist in keeping the shop neat and organized.

· Must be able to work Monday-Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Note: Some extended hours and/or work on Saturdays may be required.

· Must be able to pass a backgrnd check, SSN Verification, drug test, and DOT physical.

· Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record is a must.
