Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions is seeking a well-qualified Windows Administrator to join its dynamic team of technical professionals in the Sunnyvale, CA area. The some of the roles and responsibilities for the position include perform as primary Windows System Administrator for a large classified government contract, must be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, with internal or external customers, in written and oral format. Will maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, software, and system engineers, PC desktop technicians, project managers, end users, and customer and IT management. Supports multiple networks, ensuring necessary administration tasks are completed, and analyze internal or external customer requirements and determine equipment and software requirements for solutions to problems by means of automated systems. Recommend and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management. Under the supervision of a Senior Systems Administrator, will provide backup and recovery services, manage file systems and disk space, manage virus protection on a routine basis, maintain security audit and logging information on all classified networked and standalone computers as directed by the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM), as well as prepare security documentation for input to Computer Security.

Basic qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree and 2 years of related experience. 4 additional years of experience and/or education can be substituted for the degree.

• Ability to perform network anaylsis

• Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 lbs

• Current Security + CE or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire

• US citizenship

• Ability to work after hours and weekends as needed

• Candidates must have a current DOD Secret level security clearance (or higher) in order to be considered

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with Certification & Accreditation process

• Hardware Experience with HPE and Dell Servers – firmware patching, hardware upgrades, lights out management experience, troubleshooting, and visualization• Experience with Certification & Accreditation process

• Linux Experience – Basic understanding of Linux OS functionality, commands, and file structures and/or certification for current versions

• Windows Experience – Proficient understanding of Windows OS (Windows 10 and Server 2016 preferred), and Active Directory concepts (including DHCP and DNS)

• SAN Knowledge – Interactions with VMware applications (vSphere objects, Horizon View, etc.), and fiber channel infrastructure concepts

• Experience operating under and managing systems within NISPOM Chapter 8, DCID 6/3-ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, or JSIG information system environments

• Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware in a networked environment

• Experience with server management

• Experience with SCCM

• Experience with routers, switches, IPS/IDS, and firewalls

• Experience with Windows, file, web and remote execution servers and Terminal Services

• Experience with information security technologies like, event log management, intrusion detection, HIPS, anti-virus, vulnerability assessments. (Solarwinds, Nessus, Tenable, McAfee, Sophos, HBSS)

• Rudimentary Scripting

• Creation and deployment of system images in an enterprise environment

• DoD 8570 Certification in a primary OS (Windows, Linux, Cisco)

• Ability to design and troubleshoot VPNs

• Experience managing and maintaining complex NTFS security models

Salary Range: $79,300 - $118,900

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
