Launcher Operating Unit is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator or Principal Contracts Administrator (A02/A03) to join the Marine Systems Business Unit. The position will report directly to the Manager of Contracts and will serve as the primary contact with our customer, supporting a CPFF/CPIF $400M per year COLUMBIA/DREADNOUGHT Launcher Production program. The product line is secure with significant backlog supporting the US Navy. This position is responsible for all formal communication with an important strategic customer, ensuring the team holds NG’s favorable financial and programmatic baseline.

This Business Unit is based in Sunnyvale, CA, however, teleworking will be considered for an experienced candidate. In a teleworking situation, the candidate would be expected to be on site approximately 3 – 4 days per quarter to support program reviews and customer meetings. Come join our team! What You'll Get To Do:

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Coordinate the company response to customer Requests for Proposal (RFPs) to understand Statements of Work (SOW)/contract requirements and advise the program team on risks and mitigation strategies.

  • Ensure company proposals are responsive to prospective customer requirements, prepare proposal submittal documents, and coordinate appropriate levels of internal review and approval. Coordinate and develop responses to fact-finding, evaluation notices, and requests for information (RFIs), to bolster priorities, strengthen support for the proposal, and also identify customer key items or concerns.

  • Negotiate terms and conditions and cost/fee to arrive at the most beneficial agreement possible between Northrop Grumman and the customer in the quickest timeframe possible.

  • Maintain our excellent working relationship with customers to effectively communicate, administer, modify, negotiate and terminate standard and nonstandard contractual agreements.

  • Oversee contract performance including schedules and deliverables and complete actions to ensure satisfactory program performance.

  • Advise your program team of contractual rights and obligations on your assigned contracts.

  • Draft contracts letters to support modifications.

Basic Qualifications:

To qualify for the Principal Contract Administrator (A03) position:

  • Must have bachelor’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience -OR-

  • Master’s degree with 4 years of relevant experience

  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD Secret Clearance

  • Must be able to travel as needed (up to 10% of the time)

To qualify for the Contract Administrator (A02) position:

  • Must have bachelor’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience -OR-

  • Master’s degree with 1 year of relevant experience

  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD Secret Clearance

  • Must be able to travel as needed (up to 10% of the time)

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

  • Recent experience as a Contracts Administrator

  • Finance background

  • Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS

  • Prior experience using SAP, Northrop Grumman Contracts Module

  • JD or MBA

Salary Range: $65,500 - $108,100

Salary Range 2: $80,600 - $133,100

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
