Background:
This position is part of Weyerhaeuser’s Wood Products – Engineered Lumber Sales Team based in Surrey initially then Langley, BC, and will report to the Western Canada Region Manager. The position is a salaried, full-time exempt role.
Serving the residential, multi-family and light commercial markets, our Wood Products businesses manufacture a wide range of structural framing materials and provides seamless building solutions, from design to installation to support. These teams move fast, work smart and never stop pushing to be and stay number one in the industry.
The Inside Sales position is responsible for working within the team that supports the day-to-day sales and logistics of our Engineered Lumber products across Western Canada.
Key functions: The Inside Sales Rep will be an active member of the Inside Sales Team, contributing to the success of our business and constantly collaborating with our team to ensure we remain the preferred supplier in the industry. The Inside Sales Rep will be engaged in providing feedback to the Region Manager and the rest of the team, to provide a best-in-class customer service experience.
Some of the daily responsibilities will include:
Working with customers to fulfill their daily, weekly, and monthly material requirements
Manage pricing, administer negotiated programs, and implement sound processes to streamline our operations
Liaising with our mills, customer service team, and transportation department to provide accurate and timely information to our customers
Coordinate any cross-function communication with other teams as required to support our customers and provide them the information they require to be successful
Troubleshoot customer requests and concerns by working with the team in managing through any complex challenges that may arise
Provide support to inventory replenishment to maintain stock levels required to meet our customers’ needs
Support our Region goal of developing strong relationships with our customers based on excellent service
Represent and role model the company’s values in safety, ethics, and professionalism
Develop and nurture relationships with key customers
Ability to develop strategies and translate them into objectives, action plans, and timelines with follow-up.
Ability to effectively manage and prioritize time while handling multiple tasks.
Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and issue resolution skills
Excels at embracing change
Strong computer skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong presentation skills
Minimum 5 years work experience in related field
Degree preferred but not required
Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $81,600 - $105,400 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 7% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Retirement: Nonunion Canadian employees are automatically enrolled in our Defined Contribution Pension Plan, which includes a paid company match up to 6%, in addition to a company contribution equaling up to 7.25% of your base salary.
