Job purpose:

The role is responsible for the brand strategies across commercial operations to achieve financial and market share objectives in The Benelux. You will work in cross functional teams to optimally exploit the opportunities in our local market and deliver efficient execution. Besides that, you will be in close contact with the Regional Marketing team in Switzerland and Online Acceleration Centre (OAC) in the UK.

What you will do:

Brand & Category Plan

  • Develop and implement omni-channel marketing brand and category plans to drive brand and share growth

  • Identify issues / opportunities, analysis and propose action plans to achieve brand objectives

  • Manage brand P&L and A&P budgets

  • Drive the execution of margin improvement and revenue growth management initiatives

  • Brand and key segment product portfolio management

Brand Activation

  • Develop the annual grid for UK & IRE and lead local execution including new product launches, annual activations and strategic business initiatives

  • Active participation in Regional Go-to-Market teams to provide input for the central developments

  • Develop local 5P marketing plans and supervise the progress

  • Lead the localisation of development of brand communication materials

  • Works closely with our local digital managers and our OAC based in the UK for strong digital campaigns and online presence

  • Identify & lead key “test and learn” opportunities

Insights & Analytics

  • Develop strong business and functional understanding of the category, our products and the competitive set, and develop plans to address issues/opportunities

  • Develop & use strong consumer & shopper insights about market and condition of focus.

  • Understand the pet specialty retail environment’s, and field team needs, to deliver strong promotional and marketing programs.

Commercial Planning and Monitoring

  • Support Long Lead Planning, Budget Review, and Mid-Year Review

  • Lead the local Commercial Planning meetings for your brand

  • Recommend areas for brand improvement and remediation

Who you are:

  • Enthusiastic, people & pet loving, creative teammate and an organized self-starter with a can-do attitude

  • A Bachelor degree or equivalent preferably in Economics, Business, Marketing

  • At least 5 years working in a commercial environment, preferably in consumer (retail) marketing environment

  • Good with numbers (analytical) and strong attention to detail, able to quality check prior to final delivery

  • A strong communicator; gets people on board, delivers impactful presentations and has an “easy” pen in writing

  • Proficient digital literacy, with Google Tools specifically

  • A cat or dog lover? Then you will not mind having to watch cute videos and playing with the dogs from colleagues at our office.
