Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Maintain RER QA manual, documents, procedures, and train organizational members as a requirement of a 10CFR50 Appendix B, including NQA-1, quality assurance program.

• Maintain the necessary documents and procedures for the NPT & N stamp approval from ASME.

• Prioritize, schedule, and delegate work assignments, and directly supervise the quality assurance staff to ensure they are meeting or exceeding the RER quality specifications and standards.

• Maintain quality procedures and specifications, testing procedures, and standards for raw materials and for in-process and finished products.

• Audit quality systems, initiating corrective actions as required.

• Maintain and recommend inspection and quality assurance plans.

• Maintain process control procedures ensuring production of finished products meeting quality specifications and standards.

• Produce quality reports; analyze information, and address and resolve problem areas.

• Develop and lead cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality issues and to improve levels of quality and productivity.

• Provide technical assistance to customers, vendors, and other departments of the company.

• Conduct research on product defects and recommend modifications in product or quality standards where warranted.

• Review all complaints received from customers to determine corrective action.

• Provide assistance to customers regarding quality problems or concerns.

• Review and approve equipment purchases.

• Ensure compliance with all housekeeping procedures and all quality and safety regulations.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience: Requires a bachelor's degree and five to seven years of related experience; or ten to twelve years of progressively responsible related experience; or a combination of education and experience. Must have experience training personnel on the nuclear quality program and procedures.

Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write documents, forms, manuals, reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, customers, vendors and other employees of the organization. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Math Ability: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Order processing systems and Database software. Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Certificates and Licenses: Requires a valid driver's license. Must have or be willing to obtain Lead Auditor Qualification.
