JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Senior Network and Systems Administrator provides technical expertise and is responsible for developing, supporting, and maintaining complex business networks and infrastructure, security, projects, and corporate strategic initiatives. This position requires a highly skilled and experienced professional who serves three primary functions; a senior escalation point for IT staff and customer technical issues that may require a more advanced skill set; engage in technical solution design and project deployments; and provide organizational improvement by providing technical leadership and mentorship. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES Responsible for LAN/WAN administration, which includes maintaining secure network access and resource availability at all organizational levels, managing user access for all systems, with particular emphasis on network communications systems, connectivity, and uptime of all sites. Responsible for security of networks, email and file systems, virtual servers, Cisco, and other security systems, wireless, and VPN connectivity. Maintain network security from internal and external threats and continue to continuously improve corporate security posture. Maintain system monitoring tools to ensure the integrity and availability of all IT resources. Prioritize and troubleshoot technology complications, recognize how they impact business operations, and quickly find resolution. Manage active directory, DNS, DHCP, certificate authorities, Exchange, database, file level permissions, management of group policy and organizational units. Provide expertise, escalation support, and mentorship for IT staff, assisting with prioritizing work, incidents, and requests. Maintains documentation and inventory for servers, network hardware and software. Participates in and/or leads the review, evaluation and recommendation of solutions relating to hardware and software acquisitions and/or network updates and the implementation of new technologies. Deployment and maintenance of Enterprise level wireless networks. Lead the design, configuration and deployment of core switch and firewall devices in large multi-site networks. Manage a multi-host highly available virtualized environment (VMWare and MS Hyper-V). Manage MDM, RMM, patch management policies and software. Provide feedback on problematic trends and patterns in technical assistance to team and/or supervisor. Contributes to team effort by completing other assignments and serving on project teams, as assigned. Strong Windows knowledge and experience: Windows OS, Windows Servers, Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, O365 Management (Azure, Entra, MDM/Intune a plus), Windows file and print services. Prior experience with day-to-day management of escalated user and system issues, help desk incidents, staff, ticket management, delegation of priorities, project work, and prioritization. Proven ability to secure and protect company information, data and systems and experience with security best-practices, security awareness and user training. Ability to assist with de eloping and participating in disaster recovery practices and exercises. Ability to communicate effectively, take ownership, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues promptly and efficiently both as part of the team and independently while ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to customer operations. Advanced problem-solving capabilities to troubleshoot issues in an efficient manner. Strong attention to detail and tracking abilities required. Ability to learn new technologies quickly and thoroughly.
