Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $19.50 - $21.50/hr

What’s a typical day as a General Operator? You’ll be:
• Receiving and processing trucks hauling crop from the field for weighing and unloading.
• Completing a wide range of harvest activities, such as husk and sort operations.
• Operating dryer to dry crop within the prescribed safety, quality, and financial requirements.
• Shelling and storing crop from bins in the dryer facility.
• Supplying the Conditioning department with a constant supply of seed.
• Applying appropriate treatment to seed.
• Labeling, tagging, bagging, and palletizing seed.
• Entering inventory information into the computer.
• Staging seed for shipment in the warehouse.
• Inspecting pro boxes to ensure they are free of debris and clean.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have knowledge of production agriculture and production plant operations.
• Can safely perform duties in a timely fashion while maintaining seed quality.
• Are able to work independently or with a team.
• Can adjust to changing conditions and anticipate needs.
• Are able to make independent decisions.
• Can pass a background check and other pre-employment screenings.
• Have reliable transportation to the site and can arrive at the work site as instructed.
• Maintain enthusiasm, a good attitude, honesty, and a willingness to treat all with respect.
• Are able to work long hours and rotational shifts, including overtime as needed.
• Can communicate verbally and in written form.
• Are able to lift, push, pull up to 60 pounds, work indoors and outdoors, and walk on uneven surfaces.
