Where the team fits in

The Business Development Partner - Programmatic sits within the Media Sales team, which sits within the Customer Group function. Working alongside the Media Sales team, they contribute to Media revenue by monetising REA Group’s ad inventory via programmatic channels. What the role is all about

The Business Development Partner - Programmatic plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth through Programmatic Guaranteed (PG) and Private Marketplace (PMP) channels. We are looking for a commercially savvy individual with strong industry connections, capable of fostering authentic relationships with media agencies, trading desks and programmatic customers. This role requires someone with a deep understanding of the programmatic landscape and a track record of leading and executing programmatic growth strategies.

The responsibilities of the role include:

  • Revenue Generation: Collaborate with the REA Sales team as a trusted advisor to develop and execute strategies to grow and convert programmatic opportunities across the client patches, and exceed PG & PMP revenue targets

  • Market Leadership: Establish and maintain a strong presence in the market to foster relationships with programmatic agencies, trading desks, direct buyers, and platform partners

  • Pipeline Management : Ensure the maintenance of a healthy opportunities pipeline through focused efforts to convert bookings and contribute to forecasting insights

  • Industry Insight: Stay ahead of industry trends and market developments to inform and adapt business and sales strategies

  • Strategic Communication: Develop and present compelling sales decks and strategic responses to showcase REA’s value proposition

Who we’re looking for

  • Deep programmatic knowledge: 5+ years industry experience and extensive understanding of PG and PMP channels and SSP/DSP platforms

  • Hunter mindset: proactive and driven to seek out and convert sales opportunities

  • Strong industry presence: well connected within the programmatic industry

  • Collaborative skills: Ability to work seamlessly with internal teams and external partners. Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of sales strategies

  • Strategic thinker: ablility to extract and analyse data to develop and implement forward thinking sales strategies

  • Effective communicator: strong presentation and communication skills to articulate value propositions and strategic responses effectively
