Graphic Design and Digital Marketing Specialist

The Graphic Design and Digital Marketing Specialist plays a key role in the Marketing and Outreach Department. Responsibilities include creating, producing, and maintaining high-quality print and digital resources to support our partners in becoming the most disability-friendly community in the country. This role involves shaping the visual aspects of the agency website, developing engaging content for social media, and creating marketing materials. Additionally, the Specialist will leverage their photography and videography skills to enhance our digital presence.

* Essential Responsibilities*

  • Conceptualize, create, and design print materials and publications to support the mission of the organization
  • Develop and manage digital communication tools, including the company's website, social media channels, and email campaigns, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and brand guidelines
  • Ensure website content is accurate by collaborating with staff and processing updates promptly, adhering to ADA guidelines and accessibility best practices
  • Create, produce, and manage audiovisual products, digital illustrations, audio presentations, photographic media, and video content for the agency website
  • Develop and execute social media strategy through competitive research and audience identification
  • Create content for social media channels by writing posts and creating communication materials
  • Liaise with all outside marketing vendors
  • Research best practices to serve as expert of print and digital accessibility

*  Qualifications*

  • S./BA in Design, Graphic Arts, Multimedia, Communications, Technology, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of multimedia production, design, or related experience
  • 3 years experience in web strategy, user experience design, content management, and digital deployment
  • Knowledge of accessible digital and print design best practices and/or interest in developing related skills
  • Experience with photography and/or an interest in developing related skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and graphic design software on Mac and PC
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, HTML 5, CSS, and WordPress
  • Excellent writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation, and communication skills
  • Good time management skills and adaptability to a changing environment
  • Understanding of and commitment to the Independent Living Philosophy

Essential Physical Demands: This role requires periods of stationary work at a desk, moving about the office to access supplies, and operating office equipment. Occasional moving of items up to 25 pounds and frequent communication with others are required. Occasional operation of a vehicle and work at external venues may be necessary.
