The Manager of Multimedia serves as a key leader within Syracuse University's creative team and a key liaison to the digital team. The Manager is responsible for day-to-day oversight of a multimedia team skilled in photography and video production, with a focus on producing timely/relevant digital content. The Manager works in lockstep with the content/digital teams to bring to life, in compelling ways, multimedia stories/content related to people, activities, and information that is relevant to key audiences. Works with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that content is concepted, gathered/shot, edited and packaged, often quickly. Directly oversees a team of content creators and leads other multimedia experts daily to complete specific projects to run largely on the university's flagship digital channels. Responsible for stewarding the Syracuse University brand by bringing it to life through effective, compelling and consistent multimedia storytelling and content generation that aims to galvanize target audience in service of advancing University goals and priorities. Works collaboratively/in deep partnership with the managers of video and photography, under the leadership of the ED of Multimedia, to ensure storytelling is strategically oriented, coordinated and effective at achieving stated goals.
