Part Time Teller – Camillus Office
The Teller position is a key role at Solvay Bank, providing excellent customer service by welcoming new and existing clients of the Bank and assisting them with account transactions and servicing needs. Tellers handle large amounts of cash in an organized, timely and accurate fashion, balancing their own cash drawer daily. The successful candidate will have proficient analytical and mathematic skills.

Position summary:
Receives and pays out money, keeps records of money and negotiable instruments involved in financial transactions, while providing exceptional client service by performing the following duties:
Job Responsibilities:
Delivers excellence in customer service, guidance and respect to all Solvay Bank
customers and co-workers in accordance with the Solvay Bank Client Service StandardsThoroughly understands, embraces and exhibits Solvay Bank Values and serves as an
example to others in actions and wordsReceives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amount and examines check
endorsementsCashes checks and pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances
Processes negotiable instruments following all policies and procedures
computer generated receiptsEnters customer transactions into computer software to record transactions, and issues
Place holds on accounts in accordance with bank and regulatory policy
Balances currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at end of shift and compares totaled
amounts with data displayed on computer screenDevelops strong knowledge of the Bank’s deposit and electronic banking products so as
able to recognizes client needs and makes appropriate recommendations or referrals to co-workersRemoves deposits from and counts and balances cash in automated teller machines and
night depositoryMaintains proper cash level in drawers, keeps cash secure, and maintains a high level of
security for the bankAccepts stop payment requests and address changes, distributing to the proper personnel
for processingResponds to customer inquiries as appropriate
Assists with daily scanning to balance branch
Adheres to established policies, procedures and federal regulations
Performs other tasks requested by supervisor/manager as they relate to the bank and its
Functions
Adheres to Information Security policies and related regulatory policies, procedures and standards designed to protect customer and Bank-owned information
Qualifications:
Experience in counting currency and coin
Good math aptitude
Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with all types of customers
Experience and Education:
High School Graduate or GED
Customer service experience
Previous cash handling experienc e
