This role in summary

The Product Marketing Director is responsible for the Refrigeration, Air & Water Categories (all Whirlpool Corporation brands) for the Latin America Region (LAR). He/she will lead and develop product leadership strategy and the team in order to establish our products as a market leader, drive revenue growth, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Understand market and consumer for all sub regions/countries, identifying relevant insights, trends and pain points to fuel category strategy & innovation

  • Lead category strategy definition to deliver ambition, including consumer target, portfolio definition, pricing strategy, go to market strategy, messaging strategy, among others

  • Develop innovation pipeline roadmap that balances short, mid and long term innovations to be a leader across all markets

  • Determine execution priorities that deliver on regional growth objectives and financial KPIs, including product development priorities as well as marketing product launches and releases

  • Develop performance and talent of Product Marketing Team for the category

  • Lead multifunctional teams to execute cross-functionally with sales, marketing, product development, manufacturing, finance and procurement in order to deliver key priorities, remove barriers and drive collaboration

  • Influence stakeholders, align expectations, priorities and remove barriers/issues to deliver objectives

  • Determine clear and feasible action plans to correct and manage risks

Minimum requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in Marketing / Innovation / Product Management

  • Latin America Market & Consumer understanding with experience on insights discovery, Consumer decision journey and competitive landscape

  • Ability to identify challenges and find creative solutions to overcome obstacles in the product development process.

  • Proven experience with product portfolio management, critical thinking and logical reasoning

  • Technical acumen (i.e., understanding of technology, design, and manufacturing processes relevant to the industry)

  • Experience with innovation and a commitment to continuous learning and adaptation

  • Fluent in English and advanced language skills in Spanish / Portuguese

  • Managerial skills with a track record of developing teams

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to work on multiple initiatives simultaneous

  • Ability to manage strategic discussions with top management as well as deep diving into operational topics with engineering, manufacturing and marketing junior team members

  • Ability to simplify the complex, understand root case and high impact activities, choose trade offs with strategic mindset

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Home Appliance industry and/or experience related to refrigeration categories strongly preferred

  • Experience in Brazil + other LATAM markets

  • Category Management, Engineering or Manufacturing experience

  • Proven experience leading remote teams

  • Proficiency with Project Management skills and/or related certifications
