Google Partner Technology Manager, YouTube (English) in São Paulo, Brazil

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 3 years of experience working with web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).

  • 3 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).

  • Experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.

  • Ability to communicate in English and Portuguese fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA, Master's degree or other advanced degree.

  • Experience with internet video technologies (e.g. Digital Rights Management [DRM] solutions, video or audio codecs, live streaming, SFTP delivery, etc.).

  • Excellent project management skills and attention to detail with the ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment.

The YouTube Partner Technology Manager team is a global team with domestic representation in Youtube's core markets and seizing their technical expertise to grow and scale YouTube and its priority partners. As a Partner Technology Manager, you wil work on a dedicated content partner portfolio, often partitioned by a specific market. You will be working with content partners on technical matters to scale and grow their business.

YouTube/Video Global Solutions is the link between Google video products and sales. Our mission is to fuel innovation that keeps YouTube and Video free and accessible to the world. We do this by translating global market needs into meaningful product solutions that drive business results for content partners and customers.

  • Manage technical relationships across various content verticals. Work closely with Business Development teams as the technical expert helping to negotiate new agreements and empower partners to find success on YouTube.

  • Identify, drive, and optimize the flow of existing and new business opportunities by leveraging YouTube technologies through prototyping and innovation.

  • Perform implementation reviews, advocate for new product features and new internal tools, and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of technical challenges.

  • Improve product feature offerings by providing partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams, including Product Management and Engineering.

  • Guarantee the technical aspects of a partner’s integration (both new and ongoing) by providing the necessary documentation and technical guidance. Apply technical and project-management skills to make sense of masses of data, increasing YouTube’s value to partners all over the globe.
