This position primarily involves a hybrid work schedule - working remotely: Monday & Friday / on site: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

An App Admin is part of the Solution support team and performs a specialized function that focuses on the reliability, performance, maintainability, and optimization of business applications. To be effective in the position, an App Admin must have strong experience supporting & configuring business critical software applications.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business areas and Application teams to support the solution and deliver projects.

  • Work collaboratively with software scrum teams to provide software enhancements, new functionality, and maintenance of various software solutions.

  • Proficiently administer and configure business solutions built on application server technology.

  • Understanding the solutions capabilities and features and ability to leverage and apply them to business processes and requirements.

  • Perform software installation.

  • Experience with patching and upgrading solutions from previous versions.

  • Perform troubleshooting.

  • Experience with software deployment tools.

  • Provide L2 Operational Support, including off-hours incident response

  • The App Admin will be responsible for escalating to vendor support for 3rd level support.

  • Automate manual processes.

  • Responsible for root cause write up.

  • Analyze, prioritizing, and resolving incoming incidents/alerts.

  • Follow the enterprise change management process to deploy fully tested and documented solutions/applications to a production environment.

  • Assist in runbook review.

  • Ability to multi-task and manage tasks with varying priorities

  • Self-motivated, innovative, and able to work across diverse technical and non-technical teams

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years of experience administering software applications

  • Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems; SQL, and Oracle databases

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience troubleshooting application issues.

  • Working knowledge of DevOps and delivery tools (GitHub)

  • Practical experience with configuration tools such as Ansible

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior experience administering Pega applications is desirable.

  • Prior experience supporting business applications running in AWS or Azure cloud environemtns
