JPMorgan Chase Product Delivery Manager - Payments - Vice President in Tampa, Florida

As a Product Delivery Manager in Payment Brand, you work to enhance and optimize the way products are delivered to customers. As a key member of the team, you create solutions and efficiencies that enable successful implementations in an expedient and organized way.

The ideal candidate will be well versed in payment processing and be able to interpret Payment Brand documentation to extract high level impacts of all business and technical changes introduced by the networks. They will be responsible to ensure that Payment Brand's documentation is clear and will serve in a consultative manner to the Product Domains as it relates to the development of requirements and liaising with the Payment Brands when clarifications of changes is required. The successful candidate will have the ability to lead and influence, drive meaningful productive change with the Payment Brands, and serve as a key collaborator to the Product Domains and Business.

Job responsibilities

  • Leads end-to-end product delivery processes including intake, dependency management, release management, product operationalization, delivery feasibility decision-making, and product performance reporting, while escalating opportunities to improve efficiencies and functional coordination

  • Leads the completion of change management activities across functional partners and ensures adherence to the firm's risk, controls, compliance, and regulatory requirements

  • Effectively manages timelines and dependencies while monitoring blockers, ensuring adequate resourcing, and liaising with stakeholders and functional partners

  • Responsible for tracking the full lifecycle of payment brand announcements, including the monitoring and tracking of each announcement, for audit purposes.

  • Review each announcement and be able to identify and effectively communicate impacts including: business, technical, operational and pricing.Collaborate with Product, Client Communication and Field Strategy teams to create internal and external communications, as required, for each article.

  • Maintain an excellent working knowledge of the payment brand rules and processing specifications

  • Engage on all Global Projects/Initiatives as required, and contribute to the overall objectives of the wider team.

  • Be collaborative consultants to all Product Domain Owners/Delivery Managers to ensure all changes are clearly understood so that effective and accurate requirements are captured for project delivery.

  • Track backlog of initiatives for which you are assigned.

  • Monitor and report on items that have not been committed to a project that could have financial or processing impacts.

  • Act as a liaison between internal JPM teams and the Payment Brands for queries that arise out of the announcements.

  • Own and track, through resolution, Payment Brand related inquiries and issues raised by internal teams and clients.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product delivery or a relevant domain area

  • Demonstrated ability to execute operational management and change readiness activities

  • Strong understanding of delivery and a proven track record of implementing continuous improvement processes

  • Experience in product or platform-wide release management, in addition to deployment processes and strategies

  • Must be able to challenge traditional thinking and champion change

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

  • 5+ years of experience working with the payment brands (e.g. Visa and MasterCard)

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across function

  • Strategic thinker, a thought leader and highly collaborative

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated experience operating in a matrix organization and leading through ambiguity

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Proficient knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
