Must have the following to apply:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. AND
  • One year experience performing security or social service work preferred OR
  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, or abilities
  • Ability to meet attendance requirements
  • Due to the nature of the job, must speak, read, and write in English
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations while maintaining control and beginning the corrective action
  • Ability to perform combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis
  • Distance of travel is usually within the same building
  • Limited amount of effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting, and carrying light objects (less than 25lbs.) 5-10% of work time

Job Description:

This position is responsible for accepting and processing residents into HMIS (Homeless Management Information System) in order for them to stay in lodge/shelter overnight.

  • Monitors the activity of residents on an assigned shift ensuring safety
  • Security and compliance to behavioral expectations
  • Maintains correct and complete records and logs containing important information
  • Ensures that lodge/shelter is maintained in compliance with standards/values
  • Work is performed in a lodge/shelter facility where there are minimal to no discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts with noise, dust, dirt, and the like
  • Work requires performance of duties in social services environments where exposure to communicable and infectious diseases is possible

Days and Hours:

Part-Time position. 2nd and 3rd shifts available. 29 hours per week. Complete work schedule will be discussed with applicant.

Pay:

$14.00 to $16.00 per hour, depending on experience. Benefits are offered.
