As a Security Professional - Utility Monitoring in Tampa, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more .
In the role of Access Control within the utilities sector, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling designated areas to help maintain a secure environment. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you engage with individuals in a professional and courteous manner. This position requires a Florida Security Professional (FL-SP) registration and is not an armed post. Responsibilities:
Provide customer service by implementing access control procedures and adhering to site-specific policies.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, particularly those related to access control.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help deter unauthorized access.
Assist in emergency response activities as required by the location's protocols.
Maintain a visible presence to help deter potential security-related incidents.
Collaborate with team members to address any access control issues that arise.
Document and report any irregularities or incidents encountered during patrols or while monitoring access points.
Minimum Requirements:
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Florida Security Professional Guard Card required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
