Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Associate Manager, Workplace Operations in Tarrytown, New York

The Associate Manager, Workplace Operations position is part of the Workplace Strategy & Planning team and partners with internal resources, consultants, contractors, and the Regeneron Community to support the coordination of projects and day-to-day activities, primarily providing oversight and technical expertise on moves and the commissioning/decommissioning of spaces. This role maximizes safety, efficiency, and effectiveness through standards and processes and assists in developing migration plans, procuring and installing furniture, fixtures, scientific laboratory equipment, and all MAC activities while providing excellent customer service to end-users.

As an Associate Manager, a typical day might include:

  • Managing a team of employees and third-party providers responsible for move management, furniture management, plant services, storage and inventory, and space readiness

  • Managing & coordinating TriRiga IWMS workstreams and requests, partnering with internal Real Estate & Facilities Management resources on solutions and proactively solving problems to ensure MAC activities are completed in a cohesive and timely manner, ensuring minimal business disruption and end-user satisfaction

  • Managing vendors, including monitoring order status and installation schedules, approving submitted invoices, managing POs, budget forecasting, and annual closeout activities

  • Managing Workplace Strategy & Planning projects and workstreams within capital projects related to furniture installation, relocations, and space commissioning/decommissioning

  • Preparing scope of work, resource requirements, cost estimates, budgets, work plans, schedules milestones, and quality control; Tracking progress of each project against goals, objective, approved budgets, and timelines

  • Partnering with Engineering, Design, and Construction, and Workplace Planning to schedule delivery and installation in conjunction with capital project schedules

  • Implementing project documentation governance and communication plans to ensure proper communication, coordination, and collaboration with all key departments such as Environment, Health & Safety, Facilities Operations, Asset Management, Engineering, Design & Construction, as well as with end-users and vendors

  • Driving process improvement and quality control for the Workplace Operation team as well as the execution of strategies that will improve operational effectiveness and ensure ingenuity and simplicity; Creating and implementing quality control protocols related to specific request categories

  • Identifying non-conformities in the process, undertaking the required actions to fix them, and reporting on actions taken to stakeholders and end users

  • Monitoring performance and managing team workload, analyzing team processes, implementing improvements to maximize efficiency, and aligning team services with those provided by other groups

  • Providing effective performance management, coaching, and mentoring as well as opportunities for development, empowering employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals and encouraging them to lean into their talents and skills to deliver superior experiences for internal and external clients

  • Foster a positive work environment through engagement and team-building activities, empowering employees to deliver their best by cultivating a culture of inclusion and belonging where varying perspectives and opinions are valued

Preferred job requirements: A bachelor's degree with at least three years of experience in Project Management, People Management, or Facilities Management. IWMS, CAFM, and FMS experience is a must. Experience in the biopharmaceutical industry is preferred. Have knowledge of lab and office planning and project management processes. You must also be able to read and understand floor plans and have intermediate to expert knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel. Relocation and facilities management experience preferred. Demonstrate Excellent stakeholder management, change management, and customer service skills; ability to build productive partnerships at all levels; ability to manage conflict constructively and effectively.

Salary Range (annually)

$94,800.00 - $154,600.00
