Robert Half VP/Director of Finance in Teaneck, New Jersey

Description

Hybrid position available! A manufacturing organization based in Teaneck, NJ is currently seeking a Controller to join their group for a long-term contract as they undergo a site closure and new-site opening. The Controller will report into the Global CFO, and double down handling all daily accounting operations, while also assisting with strategy related to the exit of a manufacturing facility. The Controller will supervise one direct report, and will oversee AP/AR, monthly close processes, and the preparation of monthly financials. The Controller will possess a strategic mindset, and will be proficient with tax requirements, process improvements, and will have participated in strategic planning in prior roles. Proficiency with SAP, financial planning, and setting up accounting processes at field locations is strongly desired.

Requirements

• Mastery of budgeting and forecasting techniques.

• Extensive knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing industry.

• Proficiency in general accounting principles and procedures for small- and mid-sized manufacturing companies (with revenues < $100m)

• Experience in plant management is essential.

• Familiarity with global manufacturing processes and practices.

• Proven track record of successful financial operations management.

• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective business strategies.

• Experience in net revenue management and gross profit maximization.

• Proficiency in gross margin analysis.

• Ability to generate and interpret cash flow reports.

• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master's degree or relevant certifications such as CPA or CFA are a plus.

• Advanced proficiency in financial software systems and MS Office.

• Excellent analytical, strategic planning and execution skills.

• High ethical standards and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality.
