    What the role will involve

    The responsibilities of your role will include the following:

  • Coordinate, lead, plan and conduct internal and external assessments in-line with ISO9001/2015 and internal manual standards

  • Analyse internal & Supplier performance, communicate performance information to Manufacturing Team / Suppliers.

  • Effective management of L3Harris debug database, providing root cause analysis to support corrective actions

  • Generating monthly quality reports

  • Support all IPT meetings representing L3Harris QA Team and fully integrated into project teams

  • Work with the Design Engineering team & Suppliers to assure compliance to specifications as well as on design / process improvements / corrective actions noted from MRB (what does MRB mean?) returns & Debug database.

  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of Continual Improvement, internal and external audit procedures, and be able to produce report data for management system review.

  • Support Supplier selection and development via the Supplier audit process and thereafter measurement and management of effective KPI’s.

  • Proactively support company compliance to Health and Safety legislation through adherence to company polices, processes and practices

  • Ensure that all business activity is conducted in line with company values, policies and ethics codes of conduct.

    What you’ll bring

    The role of Quality Engineer requires the following experience and skills:

  • The successful candidate will be an experienced internal and external quality auditor.

  • Previous Quality Assurance experience, and ideally educated to degree level or equivalent in an Engineering or Science related subject.

  • Applicants should be established quality professionals with a level of skills and knowledge sufficient to qualify as ‘Member’ of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI).

  • Ability to handle multiple projects, high volume activity and establish priorities in a changing environment.

  • Previously demonstrable success at introducing continual improvement solutions through the use of Lean techniques.

  • Good facilitator and leader of individuals or groups who do not directly report to the function.
