Continental Product Data Composition Coordinator in Timișoara, Romania

In this challenging function, you will help our business area to establish Material composition data standards and increase the quality level of Data in the IMDS (International Material Data System) and other Material reporting systems. You will leverage analytical tools to perform data integrity checks and cleansing, identify and correct/update data discrepancies, duplicates, and outdated records. You will provide support in resolving data quality problems with subject matter experts. You will be part of a central Team in which you create the foundation for a data-driven organization.

Your main tasks are:

  • Define, establish, and support standardized processes for the creation, validation, and submission of material declaration reports via IMDS and other reporting tools;

  • Foster the development and implementation of digital tools and solutions throughout the material declaration;

  • Process ownership for product reporting;

  • Create and establish documents to give guidance (e.g. how-to, guideline, handbook, checklist, etc.);

  • Manage incoming material declaration requests and adhere to customer timeline;

  • Evaluate supplier material declaration reports, follow up with suppliers to submit the correct data in case of findings;

  • Manage the creation, validation, and submission of material declaration reports and understand each customer’s unique requirements;

  • Analyze data and determine if it’s acceptable under the current criteria, manage corrective action with support from material experts;

  • Train users of material reporting tools;

  • Define, establish, and improve continuously the tools and methods to execute the material declaration process with a focus on efficiency and quality (e.g. digital tools, usage of Artificial Intelligence, etc.).

Qualifications:

  • Academic degree in the field of Engineering (e.g. M.Sc., M.Eng., B.Sc., B.Eng.), preferably in the field of material science, material engineering, or chemistry experience in the automotive industry is beneficial;

  • Independent working ability and assertiveness;

  • Experience in the field of material or product composition is beneficial;

  • Fluent English language skills;

  • Communication and moderation skills;

  • Knowhow of automotive-specific rules and standards is beneficial;

  • Organizational skills;

  • Project management skills.
